ESNO World Café 2024: Inviting the European Brussels Health Community

‘Solving the Puzzle’

Due to the resounding success of the ESNO World Café 2023, we are thrilled to announce the next version this event in Brussels 25 and 26 April. While maintaining the core essence, this new edition will introduce an exciting twist - the collaborative pursuit of solving a puzzle. We extend a warm invitation to all organizations within the European Brussels health environment to join us in this interactive event. Our aim is not only to engage top executives but also policy officers and those often referred to as "street-policy-officers."

This event revolves around the critical topic of the healthcare workforce, an issue that constantly occupies our thoughts as we design programs, launch projects, and initiate endeavours that require substantial investment. These investments originate not only from the public sector, including the European Commission, but also from the private sector, encompassing industry contributions and support from local and various other sources.

During this event, we aspire to host a diverse array of representatives, uniting nurses from various specialties and European regions. Our objective is to collaboratively address the challenges we face, drawing inspiration from deliberations, engaging in authentic conversations, and connecting with peers to gain fresh insights. Our common goals are to maintain the healthcare sector's appeal as a stimulating domain to work in, explore ways to retain professionals in practice, and devise strategies to attract newcomers and remainers.

For clarity, it's important to note that this event is organized by specialist nurses; however, we do not consider ourselves a distinct breed. Our primary focus is on delivering high-quality care, fostering sustainable health, and ensuring accessibility for all European citizens. We prefer to identify ourselves as professionals within the broader healthcare and caregiving spectrum, much like those in the medical field, pharmaceuticals, behavioural sciences, management, and science. Ultimately, we share a common mission and have the same obstacles to overcome. Each within their capacity, and we have experienced that this sharing, gave great new insights and energy.

The event will adopt the format of a hackathon, where participants are encouraged to showcase their problem-solving prowess by addressing a shared challenge and proposing solutions from their unique perspectives. The domains of Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will play pivotal roles in navigating the complexities of these challenges. At the end of the event, proposed solutions will be evaluated, and the most promising ones will receive an award.

"We don't need to emphasize that there is no one-size-fits-all solution; rather, each of us forms an integral piece of the puzzle. We are excited to delve into the diverse components that make us unique and make this event extraordinary."

At this stage, we kindly request you to save the date and connect with our organizing team. Your participation and input are invaluable as we collectively shape the future of healthcare. For those organisations, wishing to take a role in facilitating this event, please contact the ESNO team.

We look forward to your presence at the ESNO World Café 2024.

Warm regards,
